Aged in oak barrels

Origins  : Dubois family, owners. Family property expanded over the decades.

Location  : Reignac 18 km from Blaye, 50 km from Bordeaux, right bank of the Gironde. Majority of southern slopes and plateaus.

Area  : 15 hectares (4,000 plants per hectare)

Nature of the soil  : Gravel, coarse and fine sand, some clayey gravel, subsoil: clayey gravel with some alios

Production  : 45 hectoliters per hectare. Vertical trellising, green harvest, leaf stripping

Grape varieties  : 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vines 25 years old

Harvest and vinification  : Grapes harvested at optimal maturity, sorting table, destemming, crushing, maceration and fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats

Aging  : In barrels for one year, with 33% new barrels, 33% one-year-old barrels and 33% 2-year-old barrels

Tasting  : Rich and powerful, balanced wine. Nose of roasting, almond, vanilla. Round attack, fine and powerful tannins. Long, pleasant finish.

Keeping  : 6 to 12 years
